Simple Ways To Remove Smaller Dents From Your Car

27th January 2022
"Dents, particularly minor ones, are not worth losing sleepover."

Even if you drive carefully, you can't always avoid being hit by falling pine cones, improperly parked cars, or pebbles while on the road.

Dents, particularly minor ones, are not worth losing sleepover. Using basic home objects, you can remove them from your car in a variety of methods.

Use a hairdryer

Use a hairdryer to heat the dent, keeping it about 6 inches away from the car's surface. A piece of aluminum foil should be used to cover the dent.

To protect your hands from injury, put on rubber-coated gloves. Dry ice should be applied to the metal foil that covers the dent. You can also use liquefied compressed air to cool the dented area.

The dent will burst out because of the sudden temperature shift, which will most likely happen within the first minute.

Use a plunger

A plunger is a magical instrument. It can be used for a variety of things in addition to unclogging toilets. A plunger can quickly remove a dent if it is not too large.

All you have to do now is wet the plunger and the dent with water. Begin to raise and lower the plunger. Rep this process a few times until the dent disappears.

Boiling water

This procedure works for dents in plastic bumpers and other plastic pieces of your car. Bring a kettle of water to a boil, then pour it over your dented bumper.

Pull the ding out from behind the bumper. If the dent can't be reached, you may need to remove the bumper.

Finally, pour a pot of cold water over the bumper to chill it down and repair the plastic.

Use a vacuum cleaner and a bucket

Make a small hole in the bucket's bottom. The upper part of the bucket should be used to cover the dent.

Place the vacuum cleaner tube over the hole in the bucket's bottom, turn it on, and wait for the dent to disappear.

Car A/C maintenance tips

26th December 2021
"You use your car’s A/C almost every day, and it practically becomes a necessity once summer hits."

You use your car’s A/C almost every day, and it practically becomes a necessity once summer hits. To remind you about how important your car's air conditioning system is for keeping you comfortable on the road.

Here are 7 tips for keeping your air conditioning running at maximum performance:

Go Low

Setting to the lowest temp and adjusting the fan makes the car air conditioning more efficient, will dry out the airless, and can actually save some fuel.

In a typical AC system, the air is cooled to 38 degrees.

If you set the temp higher, you're actually forcing the system to reheat the cooled air, which takes more effort and more fuel.

Don't Recirculate

If you have passengers in the back seat, consider turning off the recirculation mode.

This takes air from the front of the cabin and pulls it back through the system, so even though everyone upfront stays cool, the air in the back can get stale and hot.

Avoid starting the A/C directly

Before switching the car a/c on, you must ventilate the car. It will expel the stale hot air inside and fill the car with fresh air.

Lower the windows and switch on the blowers in the maximum setting.

Once the inside temperature equals ambient temperature, you can close the windows, switch off the blower and turn the a/c on.

This helps in cooling the car faster, besides reducing the load on the components.

Clean the filter

Whenever you get the chance, check your cabin air filter to make sure it’s clean. A dirty filter prevents optimal airflow.

In newer cars, these filters are relatively easy to check; if you see a lot of dirt accumulated on them, it's time to change it.

You can save money if you can replace the filter yourself. In many modern cars, the filter is accessible behind the glove compartment.

Park under the Shade

When you leave your car under the sun for too long, its interior can get considerably hot.

As a result, the car’s A/C will have to work twice as hard just to get the temperature down.

That’s why it’s smart to park under a shade or install sun shades to avoid causing this problem.

How to take care of car's paint

26th January 2022
"It is important to preserve your car's appearance and condition over time to keep it looking new."

The paint on your car is one of the things that make it appealing. It is important to preserve your car's appearance and condition over time to keep it looking new.

So, here are a few tips to help you take care of your car's paint and keep it shining brightly:

Wash regularly

Washing your car regularly is probably the best way to protect the paint job. Dirt and grime can worsen the paint on your car.

If not cleaned immediately, it may cause long-term damage to the appearance of your cars, such as corrosion and rust.

When washed every week, the paint on your car should remain relatively free of even the dirtiest dirt caused by regular driving.

Apply a high-quality car soap with a foam sponge in straight lines rather than circular motions. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Wax

Wax forms a protective seal on top of the paint, protecting it from dirt, dust, pollution, water, and other potentially harmful substances.

Wax can also be used to conceal minor scratches and blemishes.

Waxing may sound fancy, but it not only cleans and shines your car, but it also leaves a protective coating that can help preserve the paint.

There are many different types of car wax available in the market to determine which one to use.

Furthermore, avoid applying wax to your car's rubber and plastic parts because it can leave permanent stains.

Keep it out of the sun

The sun's ultraviolet rays are not only harmful to your skin but also the paint job on your car.

Sunlight can oxidize and fade your car's paint, making it appear much older than it is.

Park your car in the shade or under a covered area whenever possible.

This will extend the life of your paint job by several years. As a result, rustproofing your car can extend the life of its paint.

Avoid stains

Stains may appear to be dangerous, even in small amounts.

However, no matter how big or small they are, if not removed promptly, they can permanently damage the paintwork.

You should be concerned about stains such as splattered bugs, spilled fuel, bird droppings, and fingerprints.

Cars are inanimate objects that cannot wash or protect themselves from harmful elements.

That is why keeping them in good condition is essential, as well as a responsibility that owners should bear in mind.
