Changan International Corporation (CIC), counted among China’s Top 4 homegrown auto manufacturers, and one of the world’s top 15 automakers with cumulative sales of 2.3 million units or 15 percent growth in 2021, steps into 2022 with a bold and spirited stance.

Changan placed top among China's Top 10 homegrown auto brands in terms of passenger car sales from January to February 2022, selling roughly 220,000 of the 1.6 million units sold in China alone.

Changan came in second among the main China car groups in terms of overall domestic sales, accounting for 330,000 of the 2.2 million vehicles sold over the same period.

It is believed that achievements in sales reflect growing customer satisfaction with the brand.

The 2021 JD Power China New-Vehicle Initial Quality Study (IQS) ranked Changan number one in new vehicle quality among all other Chinese brands, and number seven among mainstream joint venture global brands, including the luxury brands that are currently sold in China.

Changan is also a pioneer in China's large production of electric vehicles. MAW Vriddhi Autocorp launched the brand in Nepal in 2021 with the Alsvin sedan.

The Hunter lifestyle pickup truck has subsequently replaced the Alsvin. The Alsvin has a 1.4-liter petrol engine with 99 horsepower and 135 Nm of torque, while the Hunter has a 1.9-liter turbo diesel engine with 150 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque.

Changan Auto will have a portfolio of luxury automobiles for five different segments of the Nepalese market by the end of 2022.

Changan Auto, a top automobile company from China is all set to launch its premium lifestyle pickup “HUNTER” in the Nepalese market.

The company has stated Changan HUNTER as one of its major products that will rule the hearts of many Nepalese customers. The company is working on the pre-launch campaigns and has planned to launch HUNTER within January 2022.

HUNTER comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission which means the gear changes automatically as per the road conditions. This is followed by the comfort, HUNTER brings with power-assisted seats for both driver and co-driver.
