6 tips for taking care of your Vacuum Cleaner
"Clean your Vacuum Cleaner often to expand its life and avoid inefficiency."
Vacuum cleaner, which cleans your room and surrounding, ironically, needs to be cleaned from time and again. You can keep it without maintaining and cleaning at all, but if you can improve its efficiency and life by taking a few minor steps, then why not? Here we present you with a few simple steps that must be taken to expand the life of your vacuum cleaner and keep it efficient for a longer period of time.
Empty and replace the bags timely
Most often people tend to remove dirt off the bags when it's full. But, it's more efficient to remove the dirt and empty the bag once it's 2/3 filled, as dirt and debris need space to enter. If the bags are filled, its efficiency may lose and the machine may not perform its work effectively. There are many signs that indicate the filled bags- if the suction is not as strong as it should be, or if the debris return back to the carpet, it means that the bags are filled.
However, if you have a bagless vacuum cleaner then you won't have to face any problem as you can easily know the dirt filled in the machine.
Clean the brush rolls
You need to check and clean the brush rolls of the vacuum cleaner. Many small and thread-like things might get stuck and wrapped on the brush roll like hair strands, threads, toss, etc. So, you need to check and clean it often. Best if you remove the brush from the machine for deep cleaning. You can also clean it with soap and water to ensure it is free from any dirt and is all neat and clean.
Clean and replace filters regularly
The vacuum cleaners with filters need cleaning and replacement regularly. Normally, only the new model vacuum cleaners come with filters. These filters like HEPA filters contribute to cleaning the air inside your room. So, these filters must be cleaned from time-to-time and must be replaced if required.
Clean the Vacuum Hose
There is a huge possibility for dirt, and debris to get stuck inside the hoses and nozzles of the Vacuum cleaner. So, you need to check them and clean them time and again. Remove the head of the hose and make sure that it is unclogged. And if there is something clogging the hose, then hold it down to the ground and jostle the hose or you can use something else to remove it.
Check the belt
The belt keeps your brush rolling and in the proper position. As it may lose efficiency after a while, you need to inspect the belt carefully. make sure that the belt sits flush against the brush roll. If it has started getting slack, it is time to get a replacement. Also, if it is torn or damaged by dirt and debris, then you must replace it in time.
Consult a professional
Normal cleaning and maintenance can be done on your own. But, if your model is expensive and is suffering from other problems like making unnatural noises, damaging parts, and inefficiency, then it is best to seek help from professionals. Normal maintenance is okay, but do not run any experiments or do not try repairing the vacuum cleaner on your own as it may worsen the situation.
