Ways to remove pencil or crayon marks from your wall

4th February 2022
"Crayon scribbling is a favorite activity among children, especially on walls."

Crayon scribbling is a favorite activity among children, especially on walls. There are several methods for removing your children's artwork from your walls quickly and easily, but the success of each technique is dependent on the surface treatment of your walls.

Here are some tips for removing pencil, pen, and crayon marks from your home's walls:

Baking soda

Mix a tablespoon of baking soda and a half tablespoon of water in a small bowl.

If it's too thick and crumbly, add a little more water until it's the consistency of a paste.

Dip an old toothbrush in the paste mixture and brush the crayon marks with it.

Scrub in a circular motion until the marks are gone. Wipe the wall clean with a wet washcloth when you're finished.

Vinegar is a tried-and-true ingredient that can be used in almost any recipe.

This is a flexible item that can be used for everything from cleaning windows to washing clothes.

It's also a gentle ingredient. You'll need to combine the vinegar and water. As a result, 2/3 cup vinegar to 1/3 cup water can be used.

Cleaning the area with a scrub pad or sponge is recommended.

If you don't have any rubbing alcohol on hand, a cheap hairspray with a high alcohol content will suffice.

It will take a little longer, but you should see some progress. It must be of the aerosol variety.

Spray some on the wall, scrub it with a toothbrush, and then wipe it down with a damp washcloth.

Using a soft and clean cloth, squeeze a small amount of toothpaste.

To remove stains from your walls, gently rub them on the affected area. To remove marks from the walls, you can also use a gentle detergent.

To remove the marks, dilute a small amount of detergent in water and wipe them away with a soft clean cloth.

One of the simplest methods for removing crayons is to gently rub them with an eraser.

The friction will lift the wax right off the surface without damaging it or removing the paint.

Most people will have a white rubber eraser on hand, and it can be quite useful because it won't stain or damage wallpaper like other erasers with color or grit.

How to keep the house clean with pets

16th January 2022
"If you’re planning on adding a pet to your home, take the time to learn how to keep a house clean with pets first"

If you’re planning on adding a pet to your home, take the time to learn how to keep a house clean with pets first.

Here are tips that will help you keep your house clean despite your pet’s best efforts:

Invest in a good vacuum cleaner

Your vacuum cleaner needs to be capable of picking up pet hair effectively.

It should have powerful suction, work well on all surfaces, and not get clogged easily by excess hair.

You want one with a good filter that is easy to empty. It needs to get into all the tough-to-reach spaces, have tools for use on upholstery, and, ideally, should be as quiet as possible to minimize any stress for your pet.

Cover Any Furniture

Some people make an effort to keep their dogs off their couches and chairs.

But if you’re going to let yours climb on whatever furniture they want, consider covering some of it with bedsheets.

This will prevent your pet from getting hair all over your furniture. It’ll also save you from having to deeply clean your furniture later.

The only thing you’ll have to do to get your furniture clean removes the bedsheets from it and throw them into the washing machine.

Groom your pet regularly

Grooming your pet regularly is an important tip on how to keep your house clean with dogs.

Keeping your pet’s nails trimmed is a preventative measure for limiting unsightly nail damage.

Scampering about with too-long nails results in marred hardwood floors, scratched leather, and punctured upholstery.

Have emergency cleaning supplies

When it comes to cleaning supplies, you can never have enough in a pet-friendly home.

It’s important to deal with accidents and messes as soon as possible to avoid stains or odors, so I always have a fully stocked emergency cleaning station.

Making sure that you clean up any urine or vomit stains quickly and thoroughly is essential from a hygiene perspective, to eliminate any odors, and to minimize the risk of the pet going back again to the same spot.

Store All Your Pet’s Toys

Your pet is going to accumulate a lot of toys throughout its life. Before long, you’re going to find them laying all over your house.

Keep them organized by designating one area in your home for your pet’s toys.

You can buy a toy box for your pet and keep everything in there to reduce the amount of clutter you have inside your home.

Household Products to Make Your Gardening Easier

24th January 2022
"There are several household things strewn around the normal home that may easily be utilized to improve your garden."

There are several household things strewn around the normal home that may easily be utilized to improve your garden, particularly when attempting to promote plant growth.

Here are a few of them:

Banana Peels

Banana Peels

It is well known that bananas are high in potassium. The high potassium content is beneficial to the garden. Tossing your leftover banana peel onto your garden can provide your plants with much-needed potassium.

This boost will assist the plants in becoming stronger and healthier, resulting in better pest resistance.

However, be certain that the banana peels do not come into contact with the surface, since this may attract harmful bugs.

Coffee, a common household ingredient, is a great plant fertilizer. However, this is only true if the grinds themselves still contain caffeine, which depends on how you create your coffee.

However, it is critical to verify that the coffee is dry before putting it in the plants. This is because damp coffee is extremely likely to encourage the growth of fungus, which can eventually kill your plants.

Potato Water

Potato water

Some people are surprised to learn that the water used to cook potatoes may also be used to water plants, as long as no salt is added.

This is because of the presence of potassium, magnesium, zinc, and phosphorus in potatoes. As a result, when you use the water used to boil the potatoes to water your plants, you are giving your plants trace amounts of these components.
